🚀 SpaceX Alert — Starship Flight 13 Launches TODAY
Starship Flight 13 lifted off today, Thursday July 16, with the launch window opening at 5:45 PM Central. This is a historic one: the first-ever deployment of Starlink V3 satellites from Starship, and a booster landing attempt in the Gulf of Mexico. The 956 is the closest community on Earth to Starbase — if you're anywhere near Boca Chica or South Padre, keep your eyes on the sky. The largest hunting and fishing expo in South Texas takes over the McAllen Convention Center all weekend.
Live local indie and alternative rock at The Gremlin.
Free community block party with food, music, and local vendors to kick off the weekend.

The Valley's own Grupo Frontera brings their massive arena tour back home to the 956.
A massive night of traditional norteño music and corridos at the McAllen PAC.
Live performances by Jamming Joe and Desert Bloom in the heart of downtown Harlingen.
Pre-loved clothes, trinkets, and local vendors.
Live music all afternoon and evening on the bay.
